The release of the first version of Remix OS – Android PC – Overclockers.ru

At the time, several former Google employees founded the company Jide Technology. So, the other day it released first public release Remix OS. It is a specialized edition of Android for computers based on x86 processor and is designed to work as a “desktop” system.

 


 

OS is based on the operating time of the project Android-x86, in which the adaptation of the code goes Android, x86-compatible processors. Remix OS based on Android 5 Lollipop and presented in the form of a bootable Live-environment volume 692 megabytes. Installing and running is done with the stick or memory card.


 

The system supports mouse and keyboard at the same time there are multi-mode button and folding opening windows, and resizing windows. There are traditional elements – contextual menus, application menu, system tray and toolbar. Present and file manager.

 

If it’s interesting, it is supported by the installation and auto-update from Google Play. In other words, we can say that Remix OS blurs the line between mobile and desktop systems. One is bad – not yet published its source code.


 

It is important to note that within the framework of the aforementioned Android-x86 is already working on a branch marshmallow-x86, based on the sixth version of Android. Also, it is useful to recall the draft shashlik. Its developers are developing a graphical environment KDE, to provide a seamless run Android applications on the Linux operating system with graphics KDE.
