Google has published the monthly report on the demand for the mobile operating system Android. According to these data, the number of devices running Android 6.0 Marshmallow from last month increased by 67%, and now they account for 0.5% of all android-devices. It is worth noting that this figure is slightly higher than the number of active smart phones based on Android 2.2 Froyo, and also less than the Android 2.3 Gingerbread (3,4%) and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (2,9%). What is surprising, the majority of Android-devices (36.6%) is still running Android 4.4 KitKat. In second place (29.5%) is Android 5.0-5.1 Lollipop, and the third (26,9%) – Android Jelly Bean. Recall that not so long ago the release of Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. Let’s hope that with the release of new devices and upgrading old share Android Lollipop and Android Marshmallow will gradually grow.
