Google is continuing to expand the action program Android One: the Philippines today presented two new smartphones that are created under this initiative.
The project Android One, we recall, was introduced in June 2014. His goal – to help producers in the production of cheap mobile devices based on Android. To do this, Google creates a reference platform that third-party companies can then use as a basis for their devices. This approach allows us to reduce production costs and, consequently, the final price.
The new devices Android One Cherry One model steel and MyPhone Uno. Both of them are made on the operating system Android 5.1 Lollipop. Specifications are not specified, but, apparently, they are identical to those of the previously reported family devices: This 4.5-inch screen with a resolution of 854 × 480 pixels, the processor MediaTek with four cores Cortex-A7, 1 GB of RAM, and also 4 or 8 GB of flash memory.
According to the presented image, Cherry One MyPhone Uno and have minor differences in design. Google says on the front and back cameras, FM-tuner, microSD slot and support for two SIM-cards.
Thus, the Philippines has become the sixth market, which shows the apparatus Android One. Previously, under the program were India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Indonesia.
