The site KickStarter is successfully raising funds to produce Computer Remix Mini, which the developers call “the first true PC running Android». More specifically, Remix Mini running Remix OS – an operating system based on Android, which is modified by the addition of elements familiar to desktop: the system tray, a multi-media support mouse and keyboard.
Mini PCs Remix Mini is built on a single system, Allwinner quad 64-bit processor, running at 1.2 GHz. Depending on the modification, it is 1 or 2 GB of RAM and 8 or 16 GB of flash memory.
Facilities Remix Mini includes a port Ethernet 10/100 Mbit / s, two ports USB 2.0, exit HDMI 1.4, slot microSD, a headphone jack. Available wireless connectivity for Wi-Fi 802.11 b / g / n and Bluetooth 4.0. All this stuff is enclosed in a sleek body size of 12.4 x 8.8 x 2.6 cm.
The minimum contribution was initially equal to $ 20, but these items quickly ended. Now the minimum fee is $ 30. Total of the writing of news collected approximately $ 460,000, which is almost ten times higher than the original target. Fundraising will last until August 29.
