Livi Design Team is convinced that her new project Casetop is one of the most important technological devices since the release of the iPhone. Let everyone decide whether he agrees with this view, but the device is designed to convert almost any smartphone into a laptop. It’s quite an interesting idea, though not new: Motorola offered something similar in the dock Lapdock (which sold not very successfully).
Theoretically
Casetop should be compatible with any Android-based smartphone, equipped with the possibility of video output and by Bluetooth. For video transmission provides interfaces HDMI, MHL and MicroUSB, and Bluetooth is used for keyboard and mouse. Thanks to the battery capacity of 56 Wh unit can operate up to 30 hours of battery and charge at the same smartphone.
Currently, the prototype is equipped with a 10-inch screen with a resolution of 720p, but Livi Design hopes to equip the device screen 1080p at the time of launch and even make it touch if subsidize the project to reach the desired amount. Interested in supporting Casetop can visit the official website Casetop or page on Kickstarter. For $ 250 you can get a full version of Casetop, but it is worth recalling that netbooks or Chromebooks can sometimes buy cheaper, but they are high-grade devices, not accessories.
