experts at Strategy Analytics estimated the total profits earned in the first quarter of 2013, all participants in the market of smartphones running the operating system Android, the sum of $ 5.3 billion. In this case, 94.7% of this enormous amount of money in the accounts settled one company which research agency called “the king of smartphone industry with Android”.
In the period from the beginning of January to the end of March, the company’s profits Samsung, received by the smartphone sales reached $ 5.1 billion. Second place belongs to another South Korean manufacturer, LG, who was able to “save” a lot less money – about $ 100 million. Another $ 100 million were distributed among the rest of the market.
Analysts believe that Samsung owes its success to an established supply chain, attractive products and marketing strategy. The experts added that Samsung makes on Android than directly to the developers of the operating system – the company Google.
