Microsoft has released a public beta Voice assistant Cortana for the platform Android, representatives of the company’s official blog. The application is available for download on Google Play after confirmation of participation in beta testing.
Since the application is still under development and active testing, users can encounter errors in the software or reduced functionality. For example, say representatives of Microsoft, using the voice command «Hey, Cortana» on Android-powered device is that you can not run the application, change settings or turn the headset – these features are available only for Windows-based devices. Also, the current Release declared as workable only in the US, access to the application to residents of other countries will be opened later.
Voice Assistant Cortana was first made available to users in 2014 on devices running Windows Phone 8.1. In a recent Windows 10 declared cross-platform synchronization with mobile devices, and Microsoft officials said that Secretary of Cortana will voice as an application for Android and iOS.
