HTC One mini 2 will not be updated to Android 5.x? – 3DNews

The mini version of last year’s flagship smartphone company HTC – One mini 2 – was announced a year ago and, according to published back in October, preliminary schedule, was to receive an upgrade to Android 5.x Lollipop this spring. But, apparently, it did not happen, and the owners of the model will have to continue to use the Android 4.4 KitKat. This information was published in the official Twitter HTC, but intelligible explanation of the motives for this decision was not given. According to the company, the installation of Android 5.x Lollipop on the One mini 2 is not optimal for him .

Officially, the release of HTC One mini 2 was announced in mid-May 2014 . The device is Qualcomm Snapdragon processor 400 c, and four cores clocked at 1.2 GHz, 1 GB RAM, 4.5-inch display with a resolution of 1280 × 720 pixels and 16 GB internal drive. In addition, the device supports networks of LTE, the compounds of the NFC and memory cards microSD.

However, the hope is that the HTC change their minds and still update the One mini 2 to Android 5.x, on the -prezhnemu remains. A similar experiment in Taiwanese was in 2011, when first announced the refusal of the intentions to release Android 2.3 Gingerbread to HTC Desire, but after a while the official firmware to the OS was still available for download.
