In I quarter 2014 Android operating system for the first time became the largest mobile advertising platform traffic, overtaking iOS. It is stated in the report State of Mobile Advertising company Opera Mediaworks for the first quarter of 2014.
Android-smartphones held a higher market share than the iPhone, at the end of 2013, but still in the lead on iOS platform traffic volume of mobile advertising. However, in I quarter of 2014 the share of Android had 42.8% of the global mobile advertising traffic versus 38.2% for iOS, according to a study.
Besides OS from Google is gradually increasing monetization of mobile advertising. A year ago on Android accounted for 26.7% of the total revenue of mobile advertising at the moment, this figure exceeds 33%.
