Perhaps someone has already tired of the judicial confrontation between Samsung and Apple, but at the last meetings surfaced once quite an interesting fact: as Californians say, the idea of ??entering information via touch screen belongs exclusively to them. Moreover, the first smartphone that was supposed to be running Android, and the development of which was conducted almost in parallel iPhone, had to go out only with the physical hardware keyboard, as evidenced by the official documentation in 2006. However, with the release of the iPhone in 2007 Google’s plans have changed dramatically.
Android and iPhone
According to the documents submitted to the court, before the release of iPhone developers of Google Android seen as a simple OS running on Java. Its description says that the operating system does not work on devices with touch screens. Nevertheless, in the documentation, there are no facts, talking about “substantial barriers to support touch screens in future versions of Android».
But anyway, after the announcement of the first iPhone, Google has changed the way to its operating system, and the presence of the touch screen has become mandatory technical requirement for Android. System had to be further developed, and the result was released HTC G1 – the first smartphone based on the new operating system from Google.
