During the Computex 2013, ASUS has continued to strengthen its position in the market of hybrid devices. At the presentation ASUS CEO Jerry Shen (Jerry Shen) presented a set of solutions, but the most interesting, perhaps, is the Transformer Book Trio – tablet with a docking station that is running as Windows, and Android.
Name Book Trio must emphasize that the solution can work as a Windows 8 laptop, tablet, Android, and even desktop PCs based on Windows 8 (the latter, of course – at a stretch). The device is easy to switch between operating systems, according to ASUS, providing access to thousands of apps in 700 Google Play Store and more than 50,000 applications in the Win-Windows Store.
At first glance, the device looks like a Transformer Book, except for the 11.6-inch screen with a resolution of 1080p and, of course, the two operating systems. By analogy with in-One PC ASUS Transformer AiO hybrid tablet provides a hardware button to switch operating systems. It should, however, be noted that the button only works when connected to a docking station – in tablet mode, the unit is controlled only by the operating system Android Jelly Bean.
addition to the two operating systems, from a hardware point of view, the device is also equipped with two processors – Intel Haswell Core i7-4500U for Windows 8 platform and a 2-GHz Intel Atom Z2580 environment for Android Jelly Bean. Transformer Book Trio, of course, and is equipped with two batteries, the tablet will receive a 19.5-watt battery and dock – 33 Watt. The battery life of the device – up to 15 hours. Docking station received a 1 TB hard drive, and tablet – 64 GB flash drive.
As you can see, ASUS at Computex 2013 introduced, in fact, unique product. Hybrid tablet made in the case with a metallic finish. The 11.6-inch screen with a resolution of the product Full HD 1080p looks very good in a cursory acquaintance. The keyboard resembles the feelings he had seen earlier in the Dock Transformer.
ASUS Transformer Book Trio will hit the market in the third quarter of 2013.
