In December Jelly Bean occupied 59.1% of the OS market Google Android - 3DNews

Google has announced figures for December 2013 on the use of different versions of the Android. As expected, the undisputed leader of the operating system was Jelly Bean, which are three versions (Android 4.1, Android 4.2 and Android 4.3) were used by 59.1% of all devices on Android. For comparison, in the previous month, this figure had Jelly Bean was 54,5%.

KitKat was a slight increase of 3% compared to November and 1.4% share of Android-devices. A large proportion still falls on Ice Cream Sandwich – two versions of Android 4.0.3 and Android 4.0.4 together totaled 16.9% of the market Android.

Over the next few months we should expect increased use of OS KitKat, while the share of Android-devices on Jelly Bean will remain at about the same level, and the share of devices running Ice Cream Sandwich will decline.
